The Syktyvkar’s sawmill and woodworking plant is one of the first enterprises of the Komi Republic’s timber industry complex during the USSR period. It began work on August 10, 1926 and was guided by the internal needs of the Republic and the country during the period of their active construction.
Currently, the company specializes in the production of high-quality edged sawn timber, which is sold mainly on international markets.
The annual production volume is 180 thousand cubic meters of lumber and up to 12 thousand tons of pellets. 95% of products are sold for export - to the countries of Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
The company has a production facility in Syktyvkar (Komi Republic), as well as a sawmill facility in the Luga district of the Leningrad region (a separate subdivision “Serebryansky LDK”).
The main activities of the company: logging, production of edged sawn timber, profile parts made of wood and pellets, as well as the organization of rail and road transport of raw materials and sawn timber, export-import operations.
Large-scale modernization of SLDK’s production is one of the priority investment projects in the region and involves a significant increase in the enterprise's capacity, equipment renewal and expansion of the product line. In 2019, the company successfully implemented a project to launch pellet production and continues to build up its development potential.
The company employs more than 850 employees, more than 250 of them are employees of the logging unit in the Ust-Kulomsky region of the Komi Republic.
